
Kotri Barrage Inching Towards Low Flood With 129,007 Cusecs Reading

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) As monsoon rains sweep across the country's length and breadth, the water level in the Indus River is also constantly rising at the Kotri barrage as 2 other barrages in Sindh have already attained low flood level.
The Sindh Irrigation Department recorded 129,007 cusecs flow in the barrage's upstream in Jamshoro district on Friday morning.
The barrage was discharging 86,982 cusecs in the downstream towards the Arabian Sea.
The 4 canals flowing from Kotri barrage also witnessed rising flows with K B Feeder canal, aka Karachi canal, drawing 7,350 cusecs against its seasonal allocation of 6,140 cusecs.
The barrage released 19,525 in the New Fuleli canal, 12,475 in Old Fuleli and 2,680 in the Akram canal.
However, the allocations for the 3 canals were 10,520, 9,940 and 3,200 cusecs, respectively.
