Preparations Underway For 282nd Urs Of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai: District Sports Officer Visits Malakhra Ground

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) As part of the preparations for the 282nd Urs celebrations of the revered Sufi saint and poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, the District sports Officer Matiari Jaleel Ahmed Halepoto conducted a detailed visit to the Malakhra Ground on Friday.
During the inspection, he reviewed the cleanliness, ongoing renovation work and directed the immediate removal of illegal encroachments surrounding the ground. He also directed officials to expedite the installation of lighting around all sides of the venue to ensure visiting devotees face no inconvenience during the festivities.
Speaking to the official media, Halepoto announced that traditional Sindhi wrestling matches (Malakhra) will be held on all three days of the Urs, and prominent wrestlers from across Sindh will showcase their strength in these matches, entertaining the crowd and earning their applause. He further directed the concerned staff to ensure proper facilities were provided to the devotees attending the Urs.
