RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) As a part of grand operation against illegal constructions, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) cleared the service road of University Town, removed unauthorized structures, and sealed an illegal market,including a marketing office.

According to the RDA spokesperson, the action was taken due to serious violations of land use and construction bylaws.

The enforcement action was part of RDA’s ongoing campaign to ensure strict compliance with zoning and regulatory frameworks across the city.

He said the market was functioning without proper approvals and was in clear violation of existing zoning regulations.

The RDA also calls on the general public to cooperate in preserving encroachment-free areas and contribute to making Rawalpindi streets safer, more accessible, and free of unnecessary congestion, she added.

The operation was conducted by the Director Land Ghazanfer Ali Awan, Assistant Director Land Dilshad Ali, Building Surveyor Aamir Mahmood Malik, Asim Khokhar, and other RDA staff members with the support of personnel from the concerned Police Station.
