Israeli Army Registers Launch of Rocket From Gaza Strip - Statement

TEL AVIV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th October, 2018) The Israeli army registered on Wednesday a launch of a rocket from the Gaza Strip that resulted in a sounding siren in the city of Be'er Sheva, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

The sound of the siren called on more than 200,000 residents of Be'er Sheva to find a shelter amid the rocket fire.

"A launch [of a rocket] from the Gaza Strip aimed at hitting the Israeli territory has been registered," the statement said.

There are no reports about any victims or damages caused by the rocket fire.
