Japan Hopes North Korea Will Use Opportunity Created By Dialogue With US - Prime Minister

Tokyo hopes that Pyongyang will use the opportunity created by the dialogue that has recently started between North Korea and the United States, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Wednesday.
VLADIVOSTOK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th September, 2018) Tokyo hopes that Pyongyang will use the opportunity created by the dialogue that has recently started between North Korea and the United States, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Wednesday.
"The relations between North Korea and the global community have been significantly changing thanks to the brave decision of [US] President [Donald Trump.
] We would like North Korea to use this chance," Abe said during a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), held in the Russian Far Eastern city of Vladivostok.
Abe continued by expressing hope that the upcoming intra-Korean summit would result in concrete steps toward the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The fourth edition of the EEF kicked off on Tuesday and will be held through Thursday on Russky Island. Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is the general information partner of the forum.
