Last week, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that Kiev was planning to terminate the bilateral treaty on the status of the Sea of Azov, but provided no specific timeline.

"Any treaty contains clauses that allow one of the contracting parties to withdraw from this treaty, so if they make such a decision, it is their business. But this, naturally, will entail certain consequences for Ukraine and Russia," Rudenko told reporters.
