Ruling Party Candidate Leading In North Macedonia's Presidential Election - Commission

BELGRADE (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) Stevo Pendarovski, a candidate of the ruling Social Democratic Union of Macedonia, is leading in Sunday's presidential election in North Macedonia after 56.88 percent of the ballots were counted, with his main rival from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE party, Gordana Silyanovska Davkova, trailing behind, the State Election Commission said.
"After 56.88 percent of the ballots were processed, Pendarovski gets 45.51 percent, Silyanovska Davkova � 41.28 percent, [candidate from two small ethnic Albanian opposition parties Blerim] Reka � 11.76 percent of the vote," the commission said.
