The death toll in fireworks explosion at the Avangard factory in the town of Gatchina near St. Petersburg on Friday has risen to two people, another 2-3 people could still be under rubble, a regional emergency services official told Sputnik.

"A second body has been dug out from the rubble," the official said.

According to the official, the four-floor building has partially collapsed in the blast.

"Two or or three people could still be under the rubble. Rescuers are clearing the debris," he added.
