MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th March, 2019) The South Korean authorities hope Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the country in 2019, the dates are being agreed through diplomatic channels, South Korea's Ambassador to Russia Woo Yoon-keun said Tuesday.

"President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in, during his state visit to Russia last June, invited President Putin to visit the Republic of Korea, and we hope that President Putin's visit will take place this year," Woo told Russian reporters.

"As for the specific schedule of the visit, discussions will take place through diplomatic channels taking into account the diplomatic schedules of the leaders of the Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation," he said.
