Sudanese President Appoints New Prime Minister After Dissolving Cabinet - Reports

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd February, 2019) Sudanese President Omar Bashir appointed a new prime minister and left foreign, defense and justice ministers unchanged after dissolving the cabinet amid instability in the country, local media reported on Saturday.

Late on Friday, Bashir declared a state of emergency in the country for one year and dissolved the government of national accord and states' governments following months of mass protests in the country.

Al Arabiya broadcaster reported on Saturday, that the president appointed military officials as new state governors.

The outlet, however, has not specified the name of the new prime minister.
