MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th March, 2019) The UK parliament has rejected an amendment that was supposed to allow the House of Commons to hold an additional debate on Brexit on March 20.

The amendment from Labour's Hilary Benn was defeated by 314 votes to 312.

The parliament has earlier rejected Lucy Powell's amendment to Benn's amendment that would have specified a new Brexit date of June 30, 2019.
