US, Russia Have No INF-Specific Meetings Scheduled at This Time - State Dept.

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) The United States and Russia have no scheduled meetings on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, US State Department Under Secretary for Arms Control Andrea Thompson told reporters on Wednesday.

Earlier in the call, Thompson said the United States will suspend its obligations under the INF Treaty on February 2 unless Russia provides evidence of compliance with the treaty.

"We don't have any INF-specific meeting scheduled at this time," Thompson said. "Russia did request time to go back and assess some of the things that we presented... We have not offered to meet."
