Afghan National Arrested In Brutal Murder Of 9-year-old Boy In Baffa

MANSEHRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2025) Mansehra Police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the mystery behind the brutal murder of a 9-year-old boy, a guest from Karachi, whose decapitated body was recovered in the jurisdiction of Baffa Police Station. SP City Resham Jahangir, while briefing the media, confirmed the arrest of an Afghan national who has confessed to the crime.

Taking prompt notice of the incident, DIG Hazara Nasir Mehmood Satti directed DPO Mansehra Shafiullah Gandapur to ensure the arrest of the unknown suspect(s) involved in the heinous crime.

Following directives, DPO Gandapur constituted a special investigative team led by SP City Resham Jahangir and SP Investigation Shiraz Khan.

The team launched a thorough investigation, examining the case from multiple angles and interrogating several individuals.

During the probe, police apprehended Najeebullah, son of Kazim, an Afghan resident of Achhriaan Camp. He was taken into custody and, during interrogation, confessed to the crime, police said.

Further investigation is underway, while police teams, assisted by sniffer dogs and rescue personnel, are continuing their search for the victim's missing head.
