After Russia summit, Trump says has 'great confidence' in US intel

Washington, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018 ) :President Donald Trump Monday asserted he has "great confidence" in US intelligence services, after he refused to endorse their conclusion that Russia meddled in the 2016 election during a historic summit with Vladimir Putin.

"As I said today and many times before, 'I have GREAT confidence in MY intelligence people,'" Trump tweeted from on board Air Force One, as he returned to Washington following the Helsinki meeting.

"However, I also recognize that in order to build a brighter future, we cannot exclusively focus on the past - as the world's two largest nuclear powers, we must get along!" he added.
