Turkey and Russia will continue negotiations on creating a buffer zone on the Turkish-Syrian border, Ankara and Moscow have no problems on this issue, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2019) Turkey and Russia will continue negotiations on creating a buffer zone on the Turkish-Syrian border, Ankara and Moscow have no problems on this issue, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday.

"The relevant meetings on the creation of a security zone are continuing.

All those regions that pose a threat to us are of great importance, and we must take appropriate measures. We have no problems with Russia in this regard," Erdogan said following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

"Our respective ministries of foreign affairs and defense will carry out the relevant work," Erdogan added.
