China Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack On Military Parade In Iranian City Of Ahwaz

China on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a military parade in Iran's Southwestern city of Ahwaz and asked the world community to further strengthen cooperation on counter-terrorism to protect peace and security of the region and the world at large.
BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :China on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a military parade in Iran's Southwestern city of Ahwaz and asked the world community to further strengthen cooperation on counter-terrorism to protect peace and security of the region and the world at large.
"China firmly opposes and strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and deeply mourns for the innocent victims," Chinese foreign ministry's spokesperson Geng Shuang said in a statement issued here.
He said the international community should further strengthen cooperation on counter-terrorism to jointly address the threat posed by terrorism and safeguard the peace and stability of the region and the world at large.
On September 22, at least 29 people were killed and 70 others wounded in an attack on a military parade in the Iranian city of Ahvaz.
The dead and wounded were both military personnel and civilians including a journalist who were watching the parade.
