China's Jiangsu Province Interested In Cooperation With Russia On Innovations - Official

China's eastern Jiangsu province is interested in strengthening cooperation on innovations with Russia as both sides have high-quality goods and equipment to offer each other, the head of external relations division at the provincial commerce department, Chen Xiaodong, said
NANJING (CHINA) (UrduPoint news / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) China's eastern Jiangsu province is interested in strengthening cooperation on innovations with Russia as both sides have high-quality goods and equipment to offer each other, the head of external relations division at the provincial commerce department, Chen Xiaodong, said.
"China and Russia are innovative countries. I know that there are many wonderful scientists and technicians in Russia. I think that the two sides should strengthen cooperation in the field of innovation. There are high-quality goods and machines in Russia, and there is a large market in Jiangsu province," Chen told reporters, adding that the province also actively develops cooperation with Russia in the field of e-commerce.
He noted that as for the end of March, 211 Chinese enterprises, registered in the province, had trade relations with Russian companies. In 2018, trade between Russia and Jiangsu province grew by 11 percent and amounted to $5.9 billion.
The head of the Jiangsu province foreign affairs office, Fei Shaonan, supported his colleague, stressing that both sides have prospects for increasing trade, especially in the field of manufacturing industry.
