KIEV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th October, 2018) The Clear Sky 2018 large-scale exercise that saw forces from Ukraine and a dozen NATO nations practice flying together wrapped up on Friday.
The closing ceremony was held at two airfields in the west of Ukraine, an aspiring NATO member, according to the Ukrainian military press office.
The drills were held on October 8-19 and involved around 700 Air Force members from Ukraine, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The exercise was overshadowed by a crash this Tuesday of Ukraine's Su-27UB fighter jet that killed both pilots, a Ukrainian and a US nationals. A service in their memory was held on Wednesday.
