Egypt Interested In Enhancing Economic, Humanitarian Cooperation With Russia - Ambassador

Egypt is determined to enhance economic and humanitarian ties with Russia, Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Ihab Ahmed Talaat Nasr said on Tuesday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th September, 2018) Egypt is determined to enhance economic and humanitarian ties with Russia, Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Ihab Ahmed Talaat Nasr said on Tuesday.
"As for Egypt, the relations between the two countries [Egypt and Russia] are dynamic, diverse, and they are developing day by day.
We are happy to have the possibility to study them and expand them further, including our relations with the [Russian] North Caucasus Region," Nasr told reporters.
Nasr emphasized Egypt's willingness to strengthen bilateral ties.
"We are also determined to develop economic and humanitarian contacts," the Egyptian diplomat said.
Russia and Egypt have been engaged in an active dialogue since 2005, when the two sides agreed to enhance ties following Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Egypt. Russia and Egypt cooperate in trade, military and nuclear areas, as well as in education and science.
