The Russian Embassy in Prague is in contact with law enforcement officers in connection with reports on the detention of Russians, is clarifying the issue of citizenship, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th October, 2018) The Russian Embassy in Prague is in contact with law enforcement officers in connection with reports on the detention of Russians, is clarifying the issue of citizenship, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.
"The Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic is in contact with relevant law enforcement agencies of that state, is clarifying the details of what happened, including whether the detainees have Russian citizenship," she said at a briefing.
Earlier, Czech police detained and charged eight citizens of Russia and Vietnam with hacking foreigner registration systems. The detention occurred on September 18. The Czech prosecutors did not say how many of the eight detainees were citizens of Russia.
