EU Stands Ready To Further Strengthen Support To Ukraine - European Council Conclusions

BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th December, 2018) The European Union is ready to adopt new measures to further strengthen its support to Ukraine following the incident in the Kerch Strait, the European Council said on Thursday.

"The EU stands ready to adopt measures to strengthen further its support, including in favour of the affected areas of Ukraine," the European Council conclusions, adopted at the summit in Brussels, read.

"The European Council expresses its utmost concern regarding the escalation at the Kerch Strait and the Azov Sea and Russia's violations of international law," the statement said, making no mention of imposing possible new restrictive measures.
