MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st October, 2018) There is a chance to save the landmark Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, Moscow and Washington should try to resolve the matter during US National Security Adviser John Bolton's visit to Russia, ex-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev told Sputnik on Sunday.
Gorbachev commented on the US decision to pull from the treaty that he co-signed with US former President Ronald Reagan in 1987.
"I am not sure if they will be able to do this but I think it is not too late. And [Bolton] is coming, they should try to stop this destructive process," Gorbachev said after being asked what the US and Russian leaders could do to save the INF.
