IMF Approves $3.9Bln Stand-By Program For Ukraine For 14 Months - Poroshenko

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th December, 2018) The Executive board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a $3.9 billion stand-by program for Ukraine for 14 months, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Another good news - as agreed with IMF Managing Director @Lagarde, the Board of Directors of the IMF has just approved a stand-by program for Ukraine for 14 months of $ 3.
9 billion. Also approved is a decision to allocate the first tranche of $ 1.4 billion within this program," Poroshenko wrote on Twitter.
The Ukrainian government and the IMF reached an agreement on the program back in October. The document was subject to the IMF Executive Board's approval.
