The Italian non-governmental organization Emergency reported on Saturday that 30 people injured in an explosion near a polling station in the Afghan capital of Kabul had been taken to the surgical center, including a child who later died
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th October, 2018) The Italian non-governmental organization Emergency reported on Saturday that 30 people injured in an explosion near a polling station in the Afghan capital of Kabul had been taken to the surgical center, including a child who later died.
Earlier in the day, the Afghan Interior Ministry said at least three explosions occurred in different areas of Kabul, where elections to the lower house of the country's parliament were taking place on Saturday.
"30 patients received as of now at our Surgical Centre after an explosion near a polling center in #Kabul. Among them, 1 child was DOA [dead on arrival]," the organization said on Twitter.
The Emergency is an Italian non-governmental organization, founded in Milan in 1994 and providing emergency medical care in various countries of the world, including Afghanistan.
