Over 140 Syrians Return Home From Abroad Over Past 24 Hours - Russian Refugee Center

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st October, 2018) More than 140 Syrians returned to their home country from Lebanon and Jordan over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees said in a bulletin on Sunday.
"Over the past day, a total of 148 people returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states: 129 people (38 women and 66 children) left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus check point, 19 people (6 women and 10 children) came from Jordan via the Nasib crossing point," the bulletin read.
A total of 19,883 Syrians who fled their country following the outbreak of civil war have returned since July 18, according to the bulletin.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations. Russia along with Turkey and Iran are guarantors of the ceasefire regime in Syria.
