Provocations Against Venezuela Forays Into Country's Internal Affairs - Russian Lawmaker

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th February, 2019) Provocations against Venezuela, which are linked to deliveries of humanitarian aid, are blatant interference into the country's internal affairs, Russian Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Konstantin Kosachev told Sputnik on Saturday.

"We are closely following the developments.

It was clear that today there would be provocations aimed at creating an illusion of the conflict between the 'despotic regime' and free citizens of their country. And these provocations are nothing but blatant interference in the relations between the authorities and society of Venezuela," Kosachev said.

On Saturday, the Venezuelan opposition tried to ensure deliveries of the US-sponsored humanitarian aid to the country via neighboring Colombia and Brazil, which resulted in numerous clashes.
