Russia Registers 11 Ceasefire Violations In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered 11 ceasefire violations in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 21 truce breaches, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Wednesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th March, 2019) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered 11 ceasefire violations in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 21 truce breaches, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Wednesday.
"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 11 cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (1), Latakia (10). The Turkish side has registered 21 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Hama (4), Idlib (2), Aleppo (14), Latakia (1)," the center said in its daily bulletin.
Over the given period, the center carried out one humanitarian operation in the settlement of Fairuza in Homs Province, distributing 500 food sets with a total weight of over 2 tonnes to local residents.
Apart from being one of the guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria, Russia also assists Damascus in the post-war reconstruction of the country and the repatriation of refugees and makes efforts to help ensure the settlement of the conflict in Syria at various international platforms.
