Russia Registers 12 Truce Breaches In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered a total of 12 truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while Turkey has recorded nine ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered a total of 12 truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while Turkey has recorded nine ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 12 cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (3), Hama (2), Latakia (5) and Idlib (2). The Turkish side has registered nine cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Aleppo (2), Hama (2), Latakia (2) and Idlib (3)," the ministry said in its daily bulletin.
No new ceasefire agreements have been signed over the period, with the number of armed formations claiming to be observing the ceasefire remaining the same as well and standing at 234.
Both Russia and Turkey, along with Iran, are the guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria, having signed the Astana agreements on the creation of Syrian de-escalation zones in 2017. The Russian side has been also assisting Damascus in the reconstruction process and the repatriation of refugees.
