Russia Registers 12 Truce Breaches In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Reconciliation Center

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire recorded 12 truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side recorded as many as 20 ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Tuesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th February, 2019) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire recorded 12 truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side recorded as many as 20 ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Tuesday.
"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 12 cases of firing in the provinces of Latakia (5), Aleppo (1), Hama (4) and Idlib (2). The Turkish side has registered 20 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Latakia (2), Aleppo (9), and Idlib (9)," the center said in its daily bulletin.
The center has conducted one humanitarian operation over the given period, delivering over 2 tonnes of food to a settlement located in Hama province.
The number of areas that signed reconciliation agreement has remained the same and currently amounts to 2,518. The number of armed formations claiming that they observe the ceasefire stands at 234, the bulletin added.
Russia and Turkey, alongside Iran, are guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria. Moscow has also been assisting Damascus both through supporting the struggle against terrorist groups operating in the country and providing humanitarian aid to civilians.
