Russia Registers 6 Ceasefire Violations In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered six truce breaches over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has registered three ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th November, 2018) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered six truce breaches over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has registered three ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 6 cases of firing in the provinces: Aleppo - 3, Latakia - 2, Hama - 1. The Turkish side has registered 3 cases of ceasefire violation in the province of Latakia," the ministry's center for Syrian reconciliation said in its daily bulletin.
According to the bulletin, the reconciliation center has also held a humanitarian action in the settlement of Salihiyah, located in the Deir ez-Zor province, with local residents having received 450 food sets with a total weight of 1.
95 tonnes.
The ministry added that no new ceasefire agreements had been signed within last 24 hours. Thus, the number of settlements that have joined the ceasefire regime remained unchanged, amounting to 2,518. The number of armed formations claiming that they observe the ceasefire regime has not changed either, standing at 234.
Russia, Turkey and Iran are the guarantors of the ceasefire regime in Syria, while Moscow has also been supporting the government forces' fight against terrorist groups, and providing humanitarian aid to civilians.
