Russian-Belarus Integration Should Be More Substantive - Medvedev

The integration between Russia and Belarus should be more substantive, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday, adding that Moscow gave Minsk its proposals on integration
"At the moment we are talking with our colleagues, with our partners from Belarus on how to make this integration even more substantive. Our integration proposals have been delivered to our Belarusian friends," he said, speaking in the Russian parliament's lower chamber, the State Duma.
Medvedev stressed that Moscow and Minsk will continue to develop cooperation.
"But we must bear in mind that such cooperation should ultimately be mutually beneficial ... and the presidents [of Russia and Belarus] have repeatedly discussed this issue," he added.
Russia is one of the largest partners for Belarus, a former Soviet Republic, in political and economic spheres. The countries also develop cooperation in the military area, as well as in the spheres of culture and science.
