MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2018) The Russian upper house's International Affairs Committee head, Konstantin Kosachev, who was previously blacklisted by the United States, is set to participate in the UN General Assembly's session in New York later in September, the lawmaker told Sputnik on Saturday.

The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly began on September 18 and will end on October 1.

"Yes, we are going," Kosachev said when asked whether the United States had granted him a visa and whether he would partake in the assembly's session.

In April, Kosachev was included in the US sanctions lists, with Washington later revoking his one-year visa, which prevented him from taking part in the General Assembly meeting in the United States in May.
