Saudi Arabia must make sure that political dissidents and journalists are not targeted, the US Treasury Department said in a press release on Thursday after it sanctioned 17 individuals for their alleged role in the death of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.
"The Government of Saudi Arabia must take appropriate steps to end any targeting of political dissidents or journalists," Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in the release.
