Several Russian Banks May Finance Iraqi Firms On Defense Projects - Iraqi Finance Ministry

BAGHDAD (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st November, 2018) A number of Russian banks are willing to finance Iraqi companies to support military and technology projects, the Iraqi Finance Ministry said in a statement obtained by Sputnik.
According to the statement, Iraqi Finance Minister Fuad Hussein met with the Russian delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, in Baghdad earlier on Wednesday.
"Several Russian financial institutions have expressed their willingness to finance [Iraqi] companies and ministries to support strategic military and technology projects. On his part, Minister Fuad Hussein noted that bank support is important, especially for financing of purchases� of technical equipment from Russian companies," the statement said.
