The minister of transport and aviation of Sierra Leone, Kabineh Kallon, told Sputnik on Friday he would like to come to the Russia-Africa forum, which will be held in Sochi on October 24

YALTA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th April, 2019) The minister of transport and aviation of Sierra Leone, Kabineh Kallon, told Sputnik on Friday he would like to come to the Russia-Africa forum, which will be held in Sochi on October 24.

"I would love to be there [at the Russia-Aftica] summit," Kallon said on the sidelines of Yalta International Economic Forum.

Regarding Sierra Leone's cooperation with Russia, the minister remarked that an idea of Russian-African economic council was "feasible."

"Russia used to play key role in Africa, with scholarships, there were people studying here [in Russia] doctors, journalists and other areas' specialists," Kallon said.

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said last week that some 40 heads of state were expected to attend the inaugural Russia-Africa summit.
