MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st December, 2018) Syrian Kurds consider US troop withdrawal from Syria premature, because the Islamic State (IS terror group, banned in Russia) has not yet been fully defeated, a representative of the Kurds in Moscow, Rshad Bienaf, told Sputnik.
"Previously, US President [Donald] Trump said that he wanted to get out of Rojava [Syrian Kurdistan].
But due to the fact that other US structures were against it, it was postponed. Even at the moment, there are objections to this in other US bodies, they consider this step dangerous for their country, because the IS has not defeated yet," Beinaf said.
"If the IS in Syria gets back on its feet, then all countries will be in danger, including in the West, Asia and Africa. Therefore, instead of withdrawing the troops, active work is needed to secure the region and eradicate the IS," the representative said.
