MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) UK police arrested on Thursday a 19-year-old man in London on suspicion of terrorism offenses, who is the second arrestee in the ongoing Syria-related probe, the police said in a statement.

On Wednesday, the police also arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of terrorism offenses as part of the same operation.

"Officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command have arrested a second man as part of an ongoing investigation. A 19-year-old man [B] was arrested yesterday evening, Wednesday, 24 April at an address in west London. He was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2000 and taken to a south London police station, where he remains in police custody," the police statement said.

The police noted that both arrests were Syria-related.

Searches at the arrestee's address in west London continue, and the investigation is underway, according to the statement.
