Ukrainian Sailors Release Cannot Be Condition for Putin-Trump Meeting - Kremlin Spokesman

No conditions can be set for the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump, including those related to the Russian-Ukrainian relations, as both Moscow and Washington need this meeting, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik on Saturday.

BUENOS AIRES (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 01st December, 2018) No conditions can be set for the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump, including those related to the Russian-Ukrainian relations, as both Moscow and Washington need this meeting, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik on Saturday.

Earlier, Trump has cancelled his meeting with Putin, scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina, over the Kerch Strait incident.

"This is not a condition.

This meeting can't be preconditioned. We and the Americans need this meeting equally. As for the events in the Black Sea, Putin has given exhaustive explanations to his interlocutors [French President Emmanuel] Macron and [German Chancellor Angela] Merkel. President Trump has not received these explanations as he has canceled the meeting," Peskov said, when asked to comment on the US move to set the release of the Ukrainian sailors detained within the Kerch Strait incident as a condition for the Putin-Trump meeting.
