MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd September, 2018) The UN representation in Iran expressed condolences on Saturday to Tehran and to families of the victims following the terrorist attack in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz.
On Saturday, armed militants opened fire at a military parade, leaving at least 25 people killed and injuring another 60, according to media reports.
The Saudi-linked Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement in Ahwaz has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
"We extend condolences to the Islamic Republic of #Iran and families of the victims of #Ahvazattack and wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured," the representation wrote on Twitter.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif accused "regional terror sponsors and their US masters" of organizing the attack.
