Venezuela opposition accuses government of 'coup'

CARACAS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2016 ) : A furious Venezuelan opposition accused the Socialist government Friday of a staging a coup by blocking its drive for a recall referendum against President Nicolas Maduro.

"A coup d'etat has been carried out in Venezuela," Henrique Capriles, a leading figure in the center right-dominated MUD coalition, told a press conference, a day after authorities annulled a key stage in the referendum process.
