White House Advisor Kushner To Present Immigration Plan To Trump In Coming Weeks

White House Advisor Jared Kushner said on Tuesday that he will present an immigration plan to US President Donald Trump at the end of this week or next week
"Probably, at the end of this week - next week, we will present it again. He'll make some changes likely, and then he'll decide what he wants to do with it," Kushner said during the Time 100 event.
Kushner said the plan includes a number or criteria, including border security, a merit system and humanitarian values.
In March, Trump declared a national emergency and requested $32.5 billion in funds for border security in fiscal year 2020, including $8.6 billion for building a border wall. Trump insisted that the wall is needed to prevent criminals and terrorists from crossing into the United States.
Most recently, the president has threatened to close the southern border and impose tariffs on Mexican cars imported to the United States if Mexico does not deter the mass US-bound illegal migration crossing through its territory.
