
FESCO Completes Development Projects Of Rs.351 Million During June

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Engineer Muhammad Aamir said that FESCO has successfully completed various power development projects worth more than Rs.351.658 million during June 2025.
He said here on Monday that these initiatives span across eight districts of Faisalabad and Sargodha Divisions including Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Khushab where FESCO has made significant enhancements in rural electrification and power distribution infrastructure.
Giving some details, he said that electricity was provided to 34 new villages with an estimated cost of Rs.58.193 million while 7 High Tension (HT) and 66 Low Tension (LT) proposals were completed at costs of Rs.200.683 million and Rs.92.782 million respectively. These projects would help strengthen the distribution network and bring power to previously underserved rural areas, he added.
He said that in Faisalabad alone, 30 LT proposals were completed at a cost of Rs.40.953 million while Jhang witnessed the completion of 14 LT projects at Rs.
18.533 million, 13 projects in Sargodha at Rs.14.636 million and 9 LT projects in Mianwali with an estimated cost of Rs.18.660 million.
For rural electrification, 3 new villages in Faisalabad were energized at a cost of Rs.7.221 million, 10 in Jhang at Rs.14.569 million, 15 in Sargodha at Rs.26.195 million and 6 villages were electrified in Mianwali at Rs.10.208 million, he added.
He further said that HT proposals were finalized in several districts including 2 in Faisalabad with an estimated cost of Rs.82.542 million, 1 in Jhang at Rs.4.955 million, 3 in Sargodha at Rs.13.532 million and 1 HT project in Mianwali at a cost of Rs.99.654 million.
These upgrades are expected to enhance the overall stability and efficiency of the electricity distribution system in the region, he added.
The FESCO Chief also commended the efforts of construction wing and instructed them to continue working with the same dedication on ongoing schemes.
The timely completion of electrical development projects would not only improve distribution efficiency but also deliver much-needed relief to the consumers across the region, he added.
