Etisalat Inaugurates SMB Awards 2018

Etisalat today announced the launch of ‘SMB Awards’ 2018 to recognize and facilitate the outstanding achievements of Small and Medium businesses and start-ups in the UAE.
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 22nd Oct, 2018) Etisalat today announced the launch of ‘SMB Awards’ 2018 to recognize and facilitate the outstanding achievements of Small and Medium businesses and start-ups in the UAE.
The Awards will recognize individual and group performance across seven categories, namely SMB of the Year, Digital Transformation Award, Start up of the Year, Innovation Award, Positive Social Impact Award, Young Entrepreneur Award and Technology Disruptor Award.
Esam Mahmoud, Senior Vice President, SMB, Etisalat, said: "Small and Medium businesses and entrepreneurship are key for economic growth, innovation and job creation in the UAE. They are undoubtedly the engine of growth of the country’s economy so we need to actively support, show appreciation and celebrate their achievements.
"We are delighted to be supporting SMBs in the country with our inaugural SMB Awards. This new initiative is in line with our continuous efforts to support SMBs and start-ups in the UAE by creating a platform that puts a spotlight on our SMB customers, consequently solidifying Etisalat’s position as the preferred business partner of choice in the UAE."
Industry reports estimate more than 100,000 new businesses to set up shop in the UAE over the next three years. Etisalat currently serves more than 300,000 SMB customers in the country, working closely with them in their digital transformation journey.
Nominations are open for individuals and companies in seven categories until 15th November 2018.
