ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 12th Mar, 2019) Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre, Tadweer, today announced that preparations are underway to host the PestWorld East 2019 conference in collaboration with the National Pest Management Association, NPMA, and Ecovar Group, a leading provider of sustainable pest control solutions.
Set to convene for the first time in the UAE capital, the specialised event will run from 9th - 10th April, at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi. The previous edition of the biennial gathering - that addressed pest management challenges specific to the middle East, Africa and South Asia - took place in Dubai.
Set to attract leading pest control experts from the UAE and abroad, PestWorld East 2019 will facilitate the exchange of knowledge on a range of topics related to sustainable pest control, as well as networking with specialists from leading universities and research centres with the aim of improving the efficiency of pest control operations. Furthermore, the conference will explore new developments and present training opportunities.
"PestWorld East 2019 will offer an ideal platform for introducing the latest pest control practices and promoting the use of safe and environment-friendly pest prevention methods in line with the UAE leadership’s environmental sustainability vision.
Tadweer will also use the platform to highlight its expertise in controlling the spread of public health pests through providing best-in-class services in this domain," Al Marzouqi said.
He added, "Hosting this conference aligns with our sustained efforts to maintain a healthy and pest-free environment in Abu Dhabi, and achieve the objectives of our integrated pest management strategy in collaboration with like-minded local and international organizations."
Al Marzouqi expressed his confidence that the conference will be a valuable addition to the emirate’s growing portfolio of specialised events and offer an unprecedented opportunity for local pest control companies to take away key insights and develop their capabilities to offer services that comply with the highest standards.
For his part, Hani Shehadeh, President and CEO of Ecovar, stated, "It’s critical to be up to date on the latest techniques for rodent control, bed bugs, mosquito control and other pests that we deal with in this part of the world. Our goal as pest management professionals is to contribute to the overall quality of life, worldwide. This conference is a unique opportunity for pest management professionals and food inspectors to learn from worldwide experts on how they can help protect public health and food."
