FJWU Anthropology Program Arranged Critical Thinking Lecture

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jan, 2018 ) :Renowned Anthropologist, Researcher and Educationist, Dr. Patricia Omidian stressed that critical thinking is a must for creativity and positive self-reflection.
Whereas rote learning kills the basic human geniuses. Dr. Patricia was delivering a lecture at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) here which was organized by Anthropology Program, FJWU on the topic Fostering Intellectual Growth: Shift from Rote Learning to Critical Thinking.
She explained that critical thinking can be used in every domain whether it is science or social science. She said that the anthropologists can unfold the hidden aspects of any situation in a relativistic manner.
Chief guest, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, FJWU, Professor Dr.
Naheed Zia Khan, in her closing note emphasized that genuine thinking is the essence of humanity and developing critical thinking skills is the way forward for the intellectual growth of Pakistan's academic culture where the development of real ideas are still a challenging task.
In-charge Anthropology Program, FJWU, Dr. Muhammad Bilal extended a vote of thanks to the guest speaker, organizing team of Anthropology program and University Administration for making this event a success.
Prof. Dr. Uzaira Rafique, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology and Dr. Shaheena Ayub Bhatti, Director WRRC were also present on the occasion. The session was attended by Faculty and the students of FJWU and they appreciated the discussion on such an important topic.
