304 Agri-kits Distributed Among Field Staff

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Augst,2016) : Agriculture department has distributed 304 agri kits among its field staff for guidance and help of farming community. A spokesman of Agriculture department told here on Wednesday that the agriculture staff will use 151 kits for soil sampling whereas the remaining kits will be used for pest scouting.
He said agriculture staff will visit rural areas of the district and give guidance to farmers, besides getting soil samples from one acre out of each 10,000 acres of land.
The tests of samples would be helpful in judicious use of fertilizers, pesticides etc in line with the needs of soil and standing crops. Pest scouting kits will also help the field staff examine standing crops attacked by pests and thus help farmers control the quality of crops in effective manner, he added.
