Govt Taking Measures For Welfare Of Children: Minister

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said the Punjab government is taking every possible step to provide a healthy environment for up bringing and welfare of children in the province.
"The government is ensuring registration of children of brick kilns in schools, providing them scholarships and eliminating child labour," he added.
He expressed these views while meeting Chief Child Protection UNICEF Sara Collman here on Friday.
The minister said the government with collaboration of the UNICEF Pakistan was implementing international treaties regarding children and MoU will be signed soon between child advocacy network, child protection (UNICEF) and Department of Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Punjab.
Sara Collaman appreciated recent legislation of child and force labour, and also shared her opinion regarding implementation of these laws.
