Rain-thunderstorm Forecast At Scattered Places

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Punjab, Sindh and Kashmir while hot and humid weather to continue elsewhere in the country during the next 24 hours. Thundershower is likely at Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Sh.Benazirabad, Sukkur, Bahawalpur divisions, while at isolated places in Zhob, Sibbi, Kalat, Nasirabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi divisions Kashmir during this time span.

Seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas. Monsoon low pressure lies over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and Adjoining Rajasthan (India). Due to this low pressure monsoon currents are penetrating eastern parts of the country.

In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Mirpurkhas, Zhob divisions and FATA. Rainfall recorded during this period was Sindh: Chhor 36mm, Islamkot 33mm, Diplo 21mm, Nagarparkr 20mm, Mirpur Khas 13mm, Dhali 12mm, Mithi 10mm, Chachoro 07mm, Badin 01mm, FATA: Parachinar, Balochistan, Barkhan 05mm. Maximum temperatures recorded on Wednesday were Turbat 44øC, Sibbi 43øC, Multan, Hyderabad, Peshawar 39øC, Faisalabad 37øC, Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Lahore 36øC, Quetta 35øC, Dir, Gilgit, Chitral 34øC, Karachi 33øC, Kalat 31øC, Hunza, Skardu 27øC and Murree 25øC.
