Rescue 1122 Urges Motorists To Use Fog Lights

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer Thursday asked motorists to use fog lights, proper indicators, avoid stopping in middle of the road.
He proposed to avoid unnecessary travelling during foggy weather especially when visibility level is at zero level on National Highways and Motorways. He advised motorcyclists and pedestrians to use masks, wet handkerchiefs and cover mouths and use goggles to prevent any respiratory problems during smog.
Presiding over a meeting of Rescue Officers in Provincial Monitoring Cell Dr.
Rizwan Naseer was briefed about smog prevailing in the Punjab capital. The meeting was told that smog is expected in the coming days.
The meeting was informed about the road crash in Hafizabad between a Mazda and Dumper, which claimed 12 precious lives, leaving 136 injured. DG Rescue directed the District Emergency Officers (DEOs) to educate citizens especially the commuters to take precautionary measures during the on-going smoggy season.
