
Two Dead, 1,593 Injured In Punjab Road Accidents

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2025) Two people were killed while 1,593 others injured in 1,350 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
According to a report issued by the Punjab Emergency Service (PES), commonly known as Rescue-1122,
here on Monday, as many as 657 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 936
with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by the rescue medical teams.
The data analysis showed that 850 drivers, 76 underage drivers, 149 pedestrians and 596 passengers
were among the victims of road crashes.
Statistics show that 241 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 312 people, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Multan with 95 accidents and 98 victims, and at third Faisalabad with
81 accidents and 104 victims.
According to the data, 1,327 motorbikes, 91 auto-rickshaws, 124 motorcars, three vans, 12 buses,
28 trucks and 125 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in road accidents.
